The Fed is going to keep the interest rate near 0, for the near future- possibly several years

How does this affect real estate?  The interest rate for mortgages is closely tied to the Fed Rate; it sure sounds like rates for mortgages are going to tick up in November, but I don't see that it will be any significant jump.  That means that your homebuying power will remain much the same, for  the near future.
