I love real estate on days like today.
I saw some pretty gut-wrenching and inspirational stuff when I was in law enforcement. But this parallels that, in every which way:
I had two sets of buyers, both looking in the same price range, even at the same houses, sometimes. As most of you know, this is a sellers’ market, and everything is multiple offers. Both couples are amazing, wonderful, sweet people.
Short of selling your soul to the devil, it can be tough to get a house in these conditions. (Disclaimer: as your real estate agent, I must advise you, never trade your soul to the devil*)
Couple One went under contract on Thursday. They’re on Facebook, they know I love them, and they may see this post.
Couple Two got an offer in today and it took some massaging, but I just got the call about 20 minutes ago that they got the offer. When I called Couple Two to give them the news, I could hear them screaming, jumping, and I’m nearly certain, crying.
This job makes me very happy, some days. Helping people with one of the biggest events of their life cannot be overstated.
